I have been using twitter since 2008 and it never ceases to amaze how much I continue to learn and how I love to connect with others. This weekend I participated in a few #RSCON3 sessions. RSCON or "The Reform Symposium" is an online conference organized by educators for educators. With the more than 75 sessions and 12 keynote presentations there was something for everyone!
I love that although I've changed teaching positions I can still find applicable sessions for me.
My world was first rocked in 2007 when I stumbled across something called the k12onlineconference. I remember watching session after session and I couldn't quench my thirst for learning. I eventually went back through the archives to watch and learn from every presentation. I honestly believe I have learned more professionally online from educators around the world more than I have in any workshop I've ever attended in person. That speaks to the power of the people! It's not the internet that makes it great - it's all the great people that I follow.
